ABOUT THE BLOG
The Story
Thank you for visiting Reagan's Hope. My cousin, Reagan Hope Lively has rett syndrome, a severe neurological disorder. She is 12 years old, non verbal, non mobile, and has seizures. Her parents, John and Suzanne care for her around the clock.

Rett syndrome is a devastating, life long disability. Children develop typically the first year, then regress and lose motor skills. (The heart breaking part is children are very aware, there is no brain damage , but their body lacks a protein ). This causes severe loss of motor and verbal skills, loss of purposeful hand use, seizures, and breathing issues. However, research has shown that Rett can be reversed in mice.

Our hope is one day Reagan will be cured. With your help, these continued treatments can keep Reagan moving forward. The goal is to keep Reagan healthy, improving her condition overall, while we reach the cure. Help Reagan win the race!

The goal of this website is to take you on our journey. The blog is ran by John and a Suzanne where they will celebrate the small victories, share the struggles, and give others a glimpse into their lives as they love and care for Reagan. Through this, they hope others will be touched by their story.
